Final Fantasy 9 Walkthrough – PERFECT GAME – POWER LEVELING & STAT MAXING – Yan Farming Guide

Final Fantasy IX PS4 Excalibur 2 Perfect Game Walkthrough
– FF9 Yan Power Leveling

Finally we being the process of leveling our characters to 99! I show you the setup I am using for the Path B stat maxing route and the location of the Yan enemies. The Yan can be a nasty opponent but with the PS4 toggles and Quina’s Night ability the battles are simplified quite substantially.

The Excalibur II is a coveted weapon in FFIX that can only be looted before the in-game clock ticks 12:00 hours. Since it is located towards the end of the game on disk four, this can be a challenge to say the least! It is required for the Platinum Trophy. In this series we will not only be working towards this sword, but we will be doing everything else as well 🙂 Sounds impossible? Let’s find out!

Final Fantasy 9 was first released way back at the turn of the century for the original Playstation (PSX). Seventeen years later it’s back in this PS4 re-release with updated HD models and graphics.

After leveling up enough on Grand Dragons I always go to Memoria and fight Behemoths. They are easier than Yan's and with level up activated it's still 81k EXP for one character alone. Sure it's slower but safer. Just a tip 🙂

Good job on doing this walkthrough.

This shit is fucking trash goddamn. "Perfect run" with cheats turned on? Y'all mofuckin' serious? This run ain't no perfect game, it's a big joke. What the hell dude? It's a goddamn JRPG and these legal cheats destroy the soul of what everybody calls a RPG. At least, Square Enix should have disabled trophies for people that used these cheats (as well for FFVII). It is in fact even on the ps4 version the god mode hp cheat does no good against yans its comet spell will still hit for 5000 damage killing anybody it hits even with the infinte hp mp trance cheat on so grand dragons are still better.

I'm not sure it's faster on the PS4 version with the x4 and 9999 damages. Dragons seems faster because you can juste spam auto attacks. Besides if you keep 9999 damage activated, Atomos or Freya is'nt needed, as long as you hit every enemy
